Irrespective of our caste, gender, race and/or orientation, this world belongs to all of us. Prejudices aren’t mixed in our blood by the supreme power but taught to us by the society. One such prejudice is about women. It is believed that women are emotional fools who are physically and mentally weaker than men. They are considered as the ‘second sex’.
Despite the fact that women were never given enough freedom and opportunities, they have proved their metal. If you still have a doubt whether women can be achievers or not, have a look at some of the women who have made us proud in all spheres of life
1. Science – Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams
While it is believed that women would prefer home science over the real science, females like Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams proved that they can do both with equal grace and vigour. Both of these exceptionally brilliant ladies literally touched the sky!
2. Mathematics – Shakuntala Devi and Katherine G. Johnson
It is a common perception that women are weak in mathematics but Shakuntala Devi and Katherine very subtly broke this cliche. She was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama.

Whether as a fiction or reality, a woman can present the society and the depths of the human emotions in the best way.

7. Entertainment – Emma Watson and Sushmita Sen
Women have faced the scrutiny of the society in every province. Female actresses are supposed to have that inhumanly slim body and the fairest colour.
